                              evolved from the

mysteries of beauty . . .

In Maldives, organized tourism started with the opening of two resorts in 1972. After a decade of unplanned expansion, a moratorium of resort construction was imposed and tourism planning commenced for environmental as well as social reasons.
Hence, now resorts can be only developed on islands specially designated for the purpose. However, as tourism is the main stay of the economy, for progress and prosperity of the people it has to be expanded. Therefore eleven more uninhabited islands have been designated for resort development. They are hosted on one of the rarest ecosystems, and are isolated, untouched, naturally beautiful but safe and easily accessible.
The guardians of these islands know the art of living in harmony with nature. The fisher folk give personal attention to each fish they catch, just to save the unwanted, and environmental resources are harvested sustainably, to leave a fair share to the unborn. They are but master craftsmen who are able to fulfill their needs without endangering the planet.
