The resort offers all the comfort, services and hospitality. From a wide array of water sports, tennis and scuba diving to the cultural shows and adventurous island hopping, there is always a choice for all ages, tastes and moods. The restaurants and entertaining main bar are famous for its high quality of service and variety of delightful food and refreshing drinks.

All 142 deluxe rooms have individually controlled air-conditioning, private bath with hot water and cold water supply, bath tub, bidet, hair dryer, ceiling fan, telephones in the room and bathroom, mini bar, and colour television with cable network plus round the clock news via satellite. For your kind information, the hotel has 220V-240V A/C 50Hz in all sockets inside your room. We advise you not to drink water inside your bathrooms and taps, since its desalinated water.

Holiday Island Resort offers a variety of specialist international cuisine set in a range of settings, to suit all tastes and add variety to your meals during your stay. While the main restaurant serves a variety of food from different nationalities, meals at the other restaurants would certainly add a special touch of luxury and romance to your holiday. With a range of specialty restaurants you will certainly be spoilt for choice.

The main restaurant: offers Western and Oriental cuisine with delicious buffets. This is where guests on full board, half board and bed & breakfast are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals are served buffet style. Full continental European or English breakfast is available at the breakfast buffet and a wide variety of dishes Continental, Asian and Maldivian dishes are served at lunch and dinner.

Coffee Shop: This is the place for a light lunch or an afternoon snack, in a more informal setting, decorated in a casual snack bar style and is open round the clock. This restaurant serves you for your convenience. While the late breakfast included in the menu serves those who prefer to lie in during their holidays, a range of fresh Juice serves to quench your thirst while sun bathing at the beach.

Main bar: is opened round the clock. During happy hour time there will be 25% discount off from all cocktails with free snacks.

Karaoke bar: opens at night at 2130hrs if there is no special event in the main bar.

Beach bar: is located near by water sports centre in a beautiful spot so that you may enjoy the natural beauty of the island while you are enjoying your drinks. Otherwise you may enjoy a cocktail while the Sunsets! Beach bar is opened between 0930hrs to 1230hrs and 1400hrs to 1800hrs every day.

We take good care of your health here at Holiday Island Resort. All your sports and fitness needs are covered in the amounts of sport activities we have here. Below are some of the activities we currently host at Holiday Island Resort.

Villa Diving is a PADI registered dive centre managed by multi-lingual dive professionals (English, Italian, German, French, Japanese, Dhivehi).

We organize dive trips everyday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Twice a week, we organize also a two tank dive in the morning, and always an afternoon dive.

Morning dive sites can be reached after 40-60 minutes by boat, whereas afternoon dive sites after maximum 25 minutes by boat.

From the island we can reach a dive site, which is a Manta Point, and also a Whale Shark Point, very close to the island.

Dives are done in drift on oceanic reefs or on “thila”, which are a sort of coral towers, very various in depth, the top can be at 5 meters or deeper, or on a wreck or in channels

As we are a PADI dive center, we can provide PADI dive courses, from the Experience Programs, such as PADI Discover Scuba and PADI Discover Scuba Diving, or for children (minimum age 8 years) PADI Bubblemaker and PADI Seal Team: from Entry Level such as PADI Scuba Diver and PADI Open Water Diver: Advance Level Courses, such as PADI  Adventure Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, Emergency First Responder, Rescue Diver, various Specialty Courses, such as Shark, Drift, Night, U/W Naturalist, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat, Multilevel and so on.

Moreover PADI Divemaster Course, to become a PADI Pros.

Among our staff is there a PADI Course Director and a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, therefore soon we are going to provide Assistant Instructor Course and Instructor Development Course.

All training confined water dives are developed in a shallow, warm and colorful lagoon, in front of the Dive Center.

Every Wednesday evening, we organize a slide show, called “Underwater Evening”, in the Main Bar of the Resort, to introduce guests to the underwater realm. At the end of the presentation, there is a funny quiz, with the possibility to win a free dive or a free PADI Discover Scuba.

Immerse yourself in relaxation at the range of activities available at Holiday Island. It’s paradise discovered for those who love the water. Enjoy a chartered boat ride across the tropical waters. Explore the shoreline from your catamaran. Slice through the wake as you water ski the day away. At Holiday Island, there's no shortage of adventure. Guests can take a trip to a local island, relax on a scenic boat to catch a glimpse of whale sharks, reel in the big one on a guided fishing tour and make a splash with a jet ski.

Full Day Excursions: Provides you a chance to see three different islands; a resort, an inhabited island and an uninhabited island. In this guided tour, you will have a chance to swim, snorkel and suntan near by a virgin island followed by a delicious BBQ. In the fishing village, you may also enjoy some shopping and see few historical places, which have been brought to your era, since our ancestors.

Half Day Excursions: Due to the Maldives being a chain of many islands divided into different Atolls, we arrange a special trip to take you one of these islands and a resort within the Atoll

Morning Fishing: Takes you to the open waters ensuring further exploration of fish. Boat captain takes you to the different locations where you may enjoy good catch.. You will be provided BBQ out of your catch at the Coffee Shop Terrace.

Half Day Fishing: If you want to try real fishing, rest assured that this is the best trip to get started. Just keep in mind that there are several elements to the enjoyment of fishing, waterman ship and knowledge of underwater knowledge, physical condition and use of correct equipment. The best time to drop your hook to catch a bigger fish is early hours of the day when fishes come across the oceans looking for their food in a very hungry mood. Different types of Sharks Blue and Black Marlin, Southern Blue Fin Tuna, Skip Jack and Yellow Fin Tuna, Queensland Spanish Mackerel, Sail Fish, Wahoo and Barracuda are among most catch of the trip. That's not all! You also will be provided BBQ out of your catch, if you catch any.

Night Fishing: Catch a fish before you loose the Sun! The boat captain will take you to a good location where he has experienced good catch. Night fishing is the easiest way of experiencing how to catch fish. Barracudas, Red and White Snappers, Small Tooth Grouper, Blue Fin Jack and Bulls Eyes are among the most catch. Your boat crew will provide you the fishing gear and therefore, you need not carry them with you. Call one of the crews, should you need any assistance on board. Enjoy the BBQ of your own catch! Even if you did not catch any fish, still the BBQ will be provided at 2200hrs on the Sundeck, if the weather permits. Otherwise inside the Coffee Shop.
Snorkeling -The hotel provides snorkeling trips on chargeable basis to different locations within this area. However, you may rent the equipment from the diving center and snorkel around the island at any time as you wish.
