FILITHEYO Island Resort

Filitheyo is the only island resort in the un-spoilt Faafu Atoll. A natural tropical Island, which is lush in vegetation and surrounded by a stunning house reef. The resort offers guest what can be only be described as a barefoot luxury retreat.

Choose from an array of 125 Villas scattered around the rim of island. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation the Villas offer a serene and homely lifestyle.

 Superior Villas

There are 94 Superior Rooms built around the edge of the island just set back from the beach but within the treeline. The air-conditioned rooms are elegantly furnished with large four poster beds and attractive hardwood furniture.

All rooms are equipped with a well stocked mini-bar, telephone, safe deposit box, television and CD stereo-player. The bathrooms are almost as large as the bedrooms and have twin sinks, desalinated hot and cold water shower and separate WC. All bathrooms have hairdryers and bathrobes are provided.

Facilities Include: Thatched roof Villas, Semi-detached, With twin beds or four-poster beds, Mini Bar, Hair Dryer, Satellite TV, Direct Dial Telephone, Timber deck, Part open air bathroom with w.c., and outdoor shower, Air Conditioned, Ceiling Fan, Heated desalinated water.

 Family Villas

10 Family Villas are also available and these comprise of two Superior Villas joined by an interconnecting door. One room has a double bed, and the other has twin beds.

 DeLuxe Villas

The Deluxe Rooms are the same size as the Superior Rooms but have larger bathrooms offering a bathtub as well as a shower and they are detached. Facilities in 15 Deluxe Villas (Kihaa Villas) are: Thatched Roof Villas, Detached, Mini Bar, Hair Dryer, Satellite TV, Direct Dial Telephone, With twin beds or king size bed, Sitting Area, A timber deck, Part open air bathroom with bathtub, Open Air shower.

 Water Villas

16 luxurious water-bungalows have been built on stilts around the south of the lagoon. These offer the height of luxury including double doors that open out onto a large shaded sun-deck area. From here there are steps leading down into the lagoon and an additional platform provides plenty of room for sunbathing. The Rooms are with four poster beds. The bathrooms are large and have a whirlpool bath. Facilities include: Thatched Roof Villas, Built on stilts over the crystal clear water of the lagoon, Detached With king size bed, Sitting Area, Mini Bar, Hair Dryer, Satellite TV, Direct Dial Telephone, Bathroom with Bathtub, WC, Private Wooden deck area.

Main Restaurant Continuing with the natural feel of the Island the main restaurant offers a wide variety of buffet style cuisines for which we are renowned for. Serving; International and Asian cuisine, Sashimi/Sushi counter, Home-made pastries, breads & Jams, New World Wine list.

Filitheyo Bar Conveniently located opposite the main restaurant making it an ideal choice for a pre or post dinner drink. Serving; Sensational cocktails, International selection of wines, Beers & spirits , Daily Happy Hours .

The Sunset Bar Located on the Western side of the Island, the a la carte restaurant has an impressive selection of contemporary international dishes. Take a break from swimming and enjoy a freshly blended juice or a tropical cocktail at the swim up bar next to the Pool. Serving; Freshly blended juices , Tropical cocktails, Authentic Italian Coffees, New World wine.

Dining on Special Requests: Have a private dinner set just for you on the beach and enjoy a sumptuous meal with your loved one. Choose from; Beach Dinners – Lobster Menu, Prawn Menu and Chef’s Signature Menu, Honeymoon Dinners, Taste of Thailand, Vegetarian Options, The Sunset Restaurant & Bar hosts a weekly steak & Seafood beach BBQ.

As you could see from the below picture; around Filitheyo you will find the kind of underwater experience which snorkellers and divers dream of. You can dive on both sides of the spectacular local reef where you will find a vast variety of big fish.

Of course the island has a lot more recreational activities to offer. The guests can enjoy a visit to the ultra modern, air-conditioned fitness-centre or choose from one of the other games and sports facilities such as table-tennis, badminton, billiards, volleyball, chess, darts and the local game of carrom among other things.

Also, there is a weekly disco evening at the beach bar and they organize folklore evenings which include 'Bodu Beru' or even a magician or a fire-swallowed for your entertainment.

Naturally there is a surfing and sailing school on the island, with both English and German speaking instructors available, equipped with 'Top Cat' Catamarans and Hy-Fly surf-boards and gear.

The Internationally acclaimed Werner Lau Diving Center offers the complete package, from basic course for beginners to advanced diving courses.

Advanced courses up to CMAS and PADI Dive Master are available for more experienced divers, as well as Barakuda (CMAS), SSI and PADI diving courses continually throughout the year.
