Fihalhohi Island Resort

Fihalhohi is one of the best kept secrets in the Maldives. In our opinion, the best budget family resort in Maldives. Perhaps the best budget resort - that's it - no more. Fihalhohi offers, a mix of natural beauty and holiday action. There are a couple of reasons for the obscurity. One is that Fihalhohi is almost alone in the whole west and south-west of the Atoll ("Rannalhi" is its only neighbor).

Though the island is much family-oriented, today different nationalities holidays at Fihalhohi. Indeed, the island is very much ideal for children, due to the fact that there are lots of other children, plus wide open beaches, a shallow lagoon and crucially, plenty of shade.

This island is also large and "open" (none of the guests is restricted from going anywhere), so there is plenty to explore. And then there are the water sports, the play areas and the games corridor, which is between the restaurant and reception. Finally, a sympathetic and helpful management.

There are just 24 CLASSIC Bungalows. All bungalows are made with thatched palm roofs. Rooms have hot & cold fresh water, shower, Hair dryer, room safe, mini fridge, Cieling fan, Telephone, Private terrace.

114 COMFORT Bungalows, all built with modern architecture with pleasing maldivian type thatched roofs. The rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning, hot & cold freash water, shower, bath tub, hair dryer, room safe, mini fridge, cieling fan, telephone, private terrace or balcony.

12 WATER BUNGALOWS. These are new built in pine wood in the lagoon. The room are also with pleasing thatched roofs. Facilities include: Air Conditioning, Hot & Cold fresh water, shower, bath tub, hair dryer, room safe, mini fridge, cieling fan, telephone, private terrace.

The fisherman's bar: is the hub of activity. The view can mix some interesting cocktails and this bar also hosts all the evening light animation programs.

The coral cove: is the patisserie - if you are looking for a light snack or would like to favor a sweet tooth.

The surf cafe: next to the water sports center serves a specialty menu of salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, pizzas and an arr0ay of light meals throughout the day. The blue lagoon bar: is proud of its serene setting on the beach, the bar serves an extensive range of thirst quenchers and cocktails. There is no music at the blue lagoon, just the sea, the sand and the close to nature feeling.

AYURVEDIC Spa

Many people come to Fihalhohi to relax and gather some energy for the upcoming year. Nothing can be more effective than combining an unusual holiday on Fihalhohi with one or more visits our herbal health Ayuredic Center. Ocean Venture Diving

Situated in the very south west of South Male' Atoll, Fihalhohi offers a lot of diving opportunities. Entry to the under water world for many our guests is our fabulous house reef.

They do "Boat Excursion" on a daily basis, mostly in the South Male Atoll. Typical for the Maldives are so called "Drift Dives". Usually they have two boat excursions a day (morning and afternoon). The dhoni will bring you with in 10-40 minutes to the selected dive spots. On Special they have Halfday trips, Full day trips, Early morning trips, Sunset trips and night Dives.

Recreational Activities

Scenic Flights: Enjoy a amazing fifteen minutes round flight. Take a real floatplane to discover the beauty of the southern part of south male' atoll and our very own island Fihaalhohi and don't miss the chance to take pictures and videos. Other than landing and take of in hulhule international airport, the cursing altitude is very low giving you fantastic views of the scenery.

Dolphin Reef: The Dolphin reef excursion is one of our most spectacular. What you going to see there is beyond imagination. About 100 Dolphins are cruising the sea in the area not larger than 1/2 SQ KM. They come very close to the boat and sometimes the younger dolphins jump out of the water.

After they leave the dolphin reef, you will be brought to the island Maadhoo. An impressive piece of nature with a huge sandbank and a turquoise lagoon. Here lunch will be served, you can play volleyball, do some snorkeling or simply relax on the beach.

Evening Events: Fihalhohi is not the island that has a lot of evening activities. In fact most of the guests like to relax not only daytime. Many people just tend to sit at the blue lagoon bar or in front of their rooms to relax and enjoy the silence. Others prefer sitting on the beach and observing the moon, or the crabs running up and down the shore

But for those of you who want some evening entertainment every now and then, the island offer some light activity. Center of these activities are the fishermen's bar. They arrange karaoke evenings, under water slide or film shows by our "Ocean Venture Diving" crew, Live music by the staffs, crab race and eventually bingo.
