The known and visible difference of Equator Village among the other island resorts of Maldives is that it is not an island on its own - as it is a connected by bridges to six other uninhabited and inhabited islands. |

As of to date this is the only Maldivian resort, where the guests can meet and see the local life style. Just pick a bike or the bus from the Equator Village and enjoy your ride crossing the bridge from one island to the other island to the next island......Most of the people on these areas of Maldives are good to very good in speaking English - as this area was mostly colonized by the British during the olden days. Also you have the option to go to Hithadu by bus - as Hithadu is the second densely populated island of Maldives - after Male' (the capital city). |

The resort pathways are almost all the areas other than the beach are green - just like the whole island of Gan. After all this is the area of the country where the guests will come across birds life. |

The 78 Standard Rooms are built on a row behind the garden of grass and tropical flowers. You may not get luxury accessories in these rooms - but they are clean and neat - wherever possible they have used the color WHITE and light colors. |

The resort moves slowly, where you get a disco once a week - also they have a tennis court, snooker table, some windsurfs - not much |

The guests feel good when they see the large swimming pool with a bar. also you will get a Indo-SriLankan mix of a Spa at the poolside, where you could relax your body with good massage treatments. |

Diving is another good reason why the guests visits to Equator. This atoll is an untouched area of Maldives and fortunately the bleaching of corals did not occur in this part - could be due to the crossing of EQUATOR in this area. Thus the coral growth is superb to marvelous in this area and you will see mantas and big fish due to open seas and the number of channels within the atolls.
