Diva Island Resort & Spa - managed by Naide Resorts, who have number of resorts in Indian Ocean - formerly Ari Beach, is now known as the luxurious and famous 'DIVA Maldives'.

An island resort, surrounded by a crystal-clear lagoon and miles and miles of ocean in shades of blue and turquoise.
This is the place for a real break, far removed from the bustle of modern life, on a beautiful island, full of tropical greenery, surrounded by a fabulous lagoon, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and close to the Maldives’ best dive sites.

Maldives is famous for its marine diversity and especially for its whale-sharks, which average well over 20 feet in length. The country has some of the most fabulous sites for diving in the world and luxurious Diva is the ideal base. The most beautiful sites are less than an hour from the Resort. The boat journey makes diving trips even more enjoyable. Guests set out in dhonis, a traditional Maldivian form of boat, and an experience in itself.
The sea is never closer than in the exclusive Water Villas, standing on stilts over the lagoon. You can simply slip from your own private deck into the water.

   87 Water Villas (80m²)

The gentle, shallow waters of the lagoon lap the steps of your exclusive Villa, as you sit reading, sunbathing or taking an outdoor shower in complete privacy, or simply gazing at the wonderful expanse of sea or the neighboring islands from your own private terrace.
Beautiful Maldivian wood flooring, Egyptian cotton sheets and Pierre Frey fabrics from Paris give bedrooms a warm and luxurious feel. The décor has been inspired by the lagoon, with touches of turquoise and shades of beige and ochre, offset by motifs of sea life that  bring the ocean setting dramatically to life. The lagoon itself is clearly visible from both the bed and the bath.
Each Villa has its own luxurious bathroom with a sunken bath, and the bedroom can sleep two people, as well as a teenager.
Overall, the setting is fantastic, the décor simply stunning and the whole ambiance warm and relaxing.

   12 Beach Pool Villas (116 m²)

The west-facing Beach Pool Villas offers sensational views of the lagoon and sunsets.
The rooms, with their luxurious en-suite bathrooms, are pure elegance and the extensive use of local wood for the floors and fittings, as well as the Pierre Frey fabrics from Paris, give an added warmth.
The décor is subtle and elegant, with sand and ochre colours that echo the beautiful sandy beach, just outside.
The individual terrace is more like extended living space, with its wooden decking and a settee for reading, lounging or simply gazing at the lagoon. There is also a table, large enough for meals or for use as a writing desk. Each Villa has a private garden on its far side, featuring a sunken swimming pool with a wooden deck surround, 2 sunloungers and an outdoor shower.
There is plenty of room for a cot and there is an overall feeling of spaciousness and a sense of being part of nature.

   45 Beach Villas (95m²)

   48 Junior Suites (65m²)

All the junior suites have sea view and are located on both side of the island. Each Suite has a bedroom, en-suite bathroom, terrace and private garden area.
The designer has used dramatic orange touches to give the Suites a warm, sunny feel, further enhanced by the use of local wood for the bedroom floors and terrace decking.
Even the stylish bathrooms look out both over the garden and towards the sea.
Many of the Suites have interconnecting doors with the next room and the others have a single bed that can accommodate a child under 12.

Main Restaurant

Noo is a spectacular, shell-shaped restaurant, featuring international cuisine. The restaurant is located at center of the island, serving breakfast, and dinner in buffet style with live cooking stations ranching from pizzas, rotisserie, wok and grill stations.

   IRU Bar - Champagne Bar - Seats: 60

(3.30 p.m to 2 a.m)

The brightly coloured circular bar, Iru, the local word for Sun, is located on the sea, facing the sunset. the bar is an ideal venue for an unforgettable aperitif at the end of the afternoon Iru offers an extensive selection of champagne. Serving 'a la carte' snacks.

   VELI Pool Bar - Pool and Beach Bar - Seats: 40

(8.30 a.m to 6 p.m)

Veli means Sand in Dhiveli.
The bar adjoins the circular swimming pool that extends out to sea, looking out onto the crystal-clear lagoon on three sides. The bar serves a full snack menu with pizzas sandwiches spring roll, etc. Open during the day only.

   PURE - Japanese Modern Cuisine - Seats: 30
 

7 p.m to 10 p.m - closed every Sunday

Standing on stilts over the water, Pure features modern Japanese-style open cooking. It has a Tepaniaki table, where the Chef performs a “live” show, displaying all his skills as he prepares their dishes in front of the guests. The restaurant is open evenings only and tables should be reserved in advance.

   EAST - South East Asian Restaurant - Seats: 150

Main Restaurant
This is the resort's Asian style restaurant standing on stilts over the water, with a wonderful view out over the lagoon. it is opened for breakfast and dinner, featuring, amongst others, Cambodian, Indonesian, Thai, Sri Lankan, Hong Kong and Chinese-style buffets

   SEASON - Beach Restaurant - Seats: 40

(10.30 a.m to 6 p.m)

The beach Bar & Restaurant is located next to the boathouse and opens only during the day. The menu offers an array of lunch options ranching from salads to sandwiches and pastas to grilled lobster.

   ALLEGRIA - Italian Restaurant - Seats: 80

Alternatively share your spa journey with a loved one in DIVA's communal relaxation area with sauna, steam, hot tub and cold plunge. Your therapist will greet you and guide you to your deluxe treatment villa to enjoy your treatment.  Choose either one of the eleven treatment villas hidden privately in the Spa Garden, or opt for one of the four deluxe treatment villas over water.

With the magnificent views of the Indian Ocean, the deluxe treatment villas elevate the spa experience to another level.  Take in the views of the marine life while receiving your spa treatment or massage.  With glass bottom floors and fish swimming in and out of the coral, your mind is transported to another world.

Water sports and diving are what Maldives is famous for! From the resort, guests can access some of Maldives’ most beautiful sites and encounter parrot fish, eagle and sting rays, clown fish, stone fish, and whale sharks.
It is almost impossible to describe the beauty of the nearby dive sites in words. Magnificent is an understatement.
Two diving sessions are organized daily, with at least one monitor for 4 divers.
The sites are about 1.5 km apart and the fauna includes tuna fish, barracudas, king fish, eagle rays, small white sharks and turtles. Dive sites include Maamagili, suitable for beginners, Aa Thila for the more experienced and Thinfushi Beru Tila for advanced divers.

Even for those who have never dived before, Diva Maldives is the perfect place.  All the monitors are qualified to run courses from beginner up to PADI level and are trained in rescue techniques. NITROX diving courses are also available.

The reef area itself is full of colourful specimens, many peculiar to the region.
The boathouse organizes trips for snorkelling over the reefs, as well as catamaran excursions. Windsurfing, rubber ring and banana rides, water-skiing, wakeboards, jet-skiing, pedal boats and kayaks are also all available.
The boathouse also arranges catamaran and windsurfing lessons, given by staff trained by the VDWS, the German watersports training centre.

Kids Club
Team members are available every day to look after children aged from 3 to 12, from 9 a.m to 9 p.m
A whole range of activities is organised for them, adapted to particular age groups, to make sure they too experience an unforgettable holiday.
Children can have lunch at the kids club between noon and 1p.m. and dinner between 6.30p.m. and 7.30p.m.
Children below 3 years old must be accompanied by a parent or a baby sitter. A baby-sitting service, for which a fee is charged, is also available

Teens Club
The Teens Club is a space where older youngsters can relax and have fun.
The Club has a Table Tennis, a Table Football, and games machines.
